Celebrating Black History: fine arts student exhibition aims to increase Black history educational opportunities while providing students with an outlet for self-expression. Middle and high school students across the country are invited to submit original artwork showcasing their understanding and interpretation of Black history. The juried competition awards three student artists with prize money to further invest in their artistic endeavors.

Students are encouraged to select a public figure, historical moment, or other topic within Black history and channel their learning and interpretation into an original art piece - sculpture, painting, drawing, graphic design. The Fine Arts Student Exhibition is a juried art competition awarding three student artists with prize money in the amounts of $1,000 for first place, $750 for second place, and $500 for third place.

Finalists will be announced on May 13, 2022.

Winners will be announced on June 19, 2022 in celebration of Juneteenth.
